Final Journal

Where I Am is Where I Want To Be

All of the things, people, and experiences I have had in my life have shaped me into the person that I am and brought me to the place I am today.  First off, my home in Akron, Ohio, with its bipolar weather and changing seasons, not only makes me appreciate each season and the festivities they bring, but how privileged I am to reside in Florida for the majority of the year.  Spending time with my dog, Nikko, is also a special part of being home.  He brings me a significant amount of joy, in addition to eating.  Food is usually, if not always, the best part of my day, and is a factor that brings together all aspects of my life.  I yearn to expand my culinary horizons, and I am doing so with the assistance of my mother and father.  Traveling, along with food, has given me a worldly background, and enabled me to appreciate a wide array of cultures and the diversity of the people that surround me; the places which I aspire to visit give me motivation to work hard now, so that I can afford to travel to them later.  I have met many amazing people here at the University of Tampa, but there are a select few that have impacted my life tremendously for the short amount of time they have been in it.  With them, I have the time of my life adventuring, talking, and goofing around.  They support me with my favorite pastime hobbies, which allow me to de-stress and express myself on a day-to-day basis.  Every experience and person I have encountered (and not encountered) has brought me to where I am today, and even if I had the chance, I would not change one step along the way.  Where I am is exactly where I want to be.
